Garmin's inReach SE+ is a hand held satellite communicator that uses global Iridium satellite coverage for interactive SOS, two-way messaging and location tracking anywhere in the world. The inReach SE+ includes a built-in GPS that enables location tracking and basic navigation with waypoints and routes. In case of an emergency, the interactive SOS feature allows the user to contact help, receive professional advices on what to do next and confirms that help is on the way.
Explore anywhere, communicate everywhere by using the worldwide coverage of the Iridium satellite network. This go-anywhere portable device let's the user exchange text messages with any cell phone number or email address anywhere while using GPS to track and share the users journey progress with family and friends.
In case of an at-risk situation users can activate the inReach to trigger an SOS to the 24/7 monitoring centre, text back and forth about the nature of the emergency and receive confirmation when help is on the way.
The in Reach SE+ handheld satellite communicator is designed for the outdoor enthusiast who wants to roam farther and experience more without compromising communications. From backcountry experiences to international adventures, inReach provides communication, location sharing, navigation and critical SOS functions on land, on water or in the skies.
No need for a cell tower or phone service, the inReach SE+ provides all the tools to stay totally connected. Being out of range of a cell tower isn't an issue, the inReach communicator works anywhere and everywhere by utilising the Iridium 100% global satellite coverage to enable two-way text messaging from anywhere (satellite subscription required).
The inReach SE+ uses GPS to provide basic grid navigation which allows the user to drop waypoints, mark key locations, track progress, and follow a breadcrumb trail back to base.
To access the Iridium network and communicate with an inReach SE+ device, an active satellite subscription is required. Depending on the predicted usage level users can opt for an annual contract package or flexible month-to-month airtime plan. Download the PDF brochure for plan options.
